Microsoft Outlook Client will not be supported by NEIU to view N-Mail.

All university employees will be directed to use the Google N-mail interface which is exactly what we did with all NEIU students.

Using the Google N-mail interface will add additional functionality and features which can not offered using the Microsoft Outlook Client.

  1. The answer is the preferred answer, but there will be cases where using the Outlook client may make sense. We are investigating options, but the gmail outlook sync tool looks very good and will also sync tasks and notes which the general migration process does not migrate. Additionally, people who make heavy use of mail merge may also want to use Outlook (probably with the sync tool) to do large email merges.

For general use of e-mail and calendaring, everyone should be using the Nmail/Gmail interface in order to access all the functionality such as collaboration.
