Q. I am part of a group that will be sharing and collaboratively updating documents. What is the best way to do this using Nmail?
The short answer is "yes." The longer answer is that you can store the document in your Google Drive (or a folder) and then "share" it by selecting the documents or directories you want and then clicking on the person with the plus sign next to them (at the top of the Google drive window and will say "share" when you hover the mouse over it).
Once you select that, you can share the file with a specific group of people or all people at NEIU, etc. Once you select with whom to share it with, it will let you pick permissions for the sharing. Google will then create a revision history, so you will be able to see who made changes and to revert to previous versions (such as by going to File, then "revision history"). Some apps will show who made the change when you hover over it or show comments and who made them. Other apps may only show the resulting document (like the spreadsheet) but you can go through the revisions. You can also see changes on your screen that others are making when they are making them.
