Q. Will I still have access to the emails that I moved from the Outlook Inbox to folders that are labled "On my computer"?

I have moved messages that I wanted to save for record-keeping to the folders I set up under a folder that Outlook provided that is labeled "ON MY COMPUTER." I assume that these are indeed saved somewhere on my hard drive, not on the university server. So I'm expecting not to lose them! But I need to know whether this is correct. If I have Outlook installed on my computer, will that be how I get back to those emails when I need to look at them?


Your understanding is correct.  Archives are stored on your local computers.  So those messages will stay on your machine.  However, like any files on your system, you should make back-ups for your archive.  This is to prevent loss of data in the event of computer failure.
