Q. How do i unsubscribe to school emails?

I've recently graduated and wish to be removed from all emails


Students who graduate remain active with NEIU for 18 months after final contact.

During that time, all former student's NEIU email addresses remain active and are included in all NEIU communications, such as targeted announcements, etc

However, we have found that many students do not 'use' their NEIU email address but instead forward all their neiu emails to a personal email address.  Once a student has graduated or finished their time with NEIU, the student could log into their NEIUport/Nmail application and end the forwarding, thereby eliminating receipt of all the targeted announcements, etc.

This does not address all the NEIUport groups or Google Groups which the student may have enrolled in thru their associated academic department or university interests.  Each of those must be addressed individually by the owner of each NEIUport group or Google Group as these groups are not controlled or overseen by a central control source.

Students who have forgotten their NEIUport/NMail login & password but wish to have their forwarding removed can contact the Helpdesk at helpdesk@neiu.edu or 773-442-4357.  Be sure to include your full name, id number and/or neiu email address so that we remove the forwarding on the correct person.  

In addition, if a former student is still receiving communications from a NEIUport Group or a Google Group and can not figure out who to contact to be removed, you can also contact the Helpdesk.  And in addition to full name, id number and/or neiu email address, also include the name of the group.  UTS will track down the owner and request removal per your request.
